The Lesser Kestrels are annual summer visitors to Hanover. The little falcons fly in from Northern Europe to enjoy the warm Karoo weather between November and March.
Flocks can number in the thousands. It is a spectacular site to see the falcolns gliding over Hanover at sunrise and sunset each day as they leave and return to their roost sites in the town.
